Urinary system
The urinary system
comprises the organs responsible for the formation of urine and the kidneys
associated with the elimination of urine. The Rim is an even, abdominal organ
located posterior to the parental peritoneum. The kidneys are responsible for
the production of urine and also function as endocrine glands because they
produce the renin that controls the secretion of aldosterone. Organic
activities result in the breakdown of lipid and carbohydrate proteins,
accompanied by release of energy and the form of products that must be
eliminated to the outside environment. Urine is one of the body's
excretion vehicles.
