The nervous system
The nervous system is responsible for receiving and
processing information. It is divided into two parts: central and peripheral
nervous system. The central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal
cord, and the peripheral nervous system, which consists of a set of nerves,
nerve ganglia and terminal organs. The function of the peripheral nervous
system is to connect the central nervous system with the other parts of the
body.
